The Office of the City Clerk supports municipal governance and transparency through elections management, records management, and agenda management. The City Clerk is the custodian of all City documents and provides support to the City Manager and City Council. The Clerk's Office prepares Council, Redevelopment Agency, and Library District Board of Trustee agendas, attends those meetings, and records and maintains the official minutes and legislative history of the City.
The City Clerk’s Office provides support to all City boards, committees, and commissions and administers the advisory board appointment process.
The City Clerk is the City's elections official and all Municipal Elections are administered through the City Clerk’s Office including filing for candidacy, coordination of ballot questions, early voting and voting locations.
The City Clerk as the City Records Official provides a wide array of information and services to the public, elected officials, and staff. All questions and requests for specific information can be made by calling 633-1030. Please note the City Clerk's Office does not provide passport services or copies of marriage, divorce, birth, or death certificates.
